International Relations Office

in content-related matters subordinate is the Vice-rector for International Cooperation.

The responsibilities of the Office include:

1. Issues relating to the organization of international exchange of academic staff and students of WULS-SGGW:

  • coordination of the international exchange of students and staff of WULS-SGGW within programmes funded by the European Union: Erasmus, CEEPUS, Erasmus Mundus and other, including activities such as preparation of contracts, recruitment of participants in the exchange, assistance to students and academic teachers involved in the programmes and content-related and financial accounting of projects in accordance to the principles set out in the assumptions of appropriate programmes;
  • organization of exchange programmes outside Europe (Dekaban, Fulbright, DAAD);  organization of the visiting professors programmes and the programme of WULS-SGGW Scholarship Fund;
  • assistance in trips abroad of WULS-SGGW staff and students, including payment of allowances, foreign transfers, travel arrangements and settlement of the stay;
  • records of teaching projects implemented outside the EU and European programmes by the units of WULS-SGGW;
  • organizing international internships for students;
  • preparation and implementation of programmes of stay of guests from abroad at WULS-SGGW;

2. Issues related to cooperation of WULS-SGGW with universities and other institutions abroad, as well as  cooperation in creating the foreign policy of the University, and in particular:

  • preparing and monitoring the implementation of university agreements with partners from abroad;
  • promotion of educational offer of WULS-SGGW for students from abroad, supporting the activities of Faculties in the recruitment of candidates for studies in English;
  • cooperation with representatives of other countries and with Polish institutions abroad;
  • application for funding for international cooperation in foundations and other organizations in Poland and abroad;
  • organization of information meetings with university staff and students;
  • preparation of international meetings at the central level;
  • participation in courses and conferences, both national and international;

3. Other tasks:

  • handling matters of public procurement related to the issues of International Relations Office;
  • correspondence and general matters of International Cooperation;
  • preparing monthly and annual reports concerned with international cooperation; preparing information for the Senate WULS-SGGW Senate on  university rankings and for the CSO, The Ministry of Science and Higher Education, for Border Guard and others;
  • other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor not included in the scope of tasks, but classified as responsibilities of the Office;
