Euphrates is an Erasmus Mundus Partnership (Action 2 Strand 1) Project funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the University Santiago de Compostela, Spain with the aim to interlink European and Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and associate partners to jointly foster mutual cooperation through the exchange of students and staff, knowledge and skills.
Who can apply?
The project involves mobility from India to Europe. Students and staff are divided into 3 Target Groups (TG). Please check the eligibility criteria here
Types of mobility:
- Undergraduate: 6 and 10 months
- Master: 6, 10, 18 months
- Doctorate: 12, 22 months
- Post-Doctorate: 6, 10 months
- Academic Staff: 1 month (teaching, practical training and research)
Fields of study available for this project: Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences.
The scholarship covers:
- Travel costs
- Heath insurance
- Monthly subsitence:
Undergraduates 1.000 €
Masters 1.000 €
Doctorates 1.500 €
Post-Doctorates 1.800 €
Teaching Staff 2.500 €

Academic year 2015/2016: call for applicants is open from November 24, 2014 till February 8, 2015.
