ORIENTATION DAY fall semester 2018/19

Orientation Day 2018 took place at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences - SGGW on 1st of October 2018.

On October 1st 2018, first meeting of the Orientation Week 2018 in the fall semester 2018/19 was held for foreigners starting their studies at WULS-SGGW under the Erasmus+, CEEPUS and PAX Program as well as bilateral agreements. Students were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada together with staff of the International Relations Office. During this meeting important information concerning stay, accommodation and studies at WULS-SGGW were presented by Ms. Ewelina Belkiewicz and Ms. Małgorzata Szczęsna from IRO. President of the ESN Student Erasmus Student Network, informed about forms of assistance provided to foreign students.

Among 145 students representing 26 countries, students came from e.g. Austri,a frnace, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Netherlands. Non-European countries included e.g. Mexico, Kazakhstan and Taiwan.

In the first week of the academic year 2018/19, students participated in daily intercultural and integration workshops to get familiar with the academic community and to provide support needed when moving from one culture to another.
