ELLS Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp

Want to learn tools to make a start-up? Did you know there are more career paths than academic research or industrial employment? Come and learn tools to initiate your own start-up company! This August 28 to 31st in Copenhagen (Denmark) our European network, ELLS (Euro League for Life Sciences), will be hosting its first Innovation & Entrepreneurship Camp. Travel expenses up to €130 will be reimbursed and accommodation will be provided for the full 4 days duration of the program.

If you are curious to learn important skills outside of your scientific curriculum, this is a perfect opportunity!

Teaching will be focused on idea generation, business model canvas, market research, prototyping and pitching for investors. These are also valuable tools for your academic career. Prepare to meet like-minded students who are passionate to make the world a better place.

Note that this camp does not grant ECTS credits.

The camp will be held at Danhostel Fredensborg, 40 minutes north of Copenhagen. Transport from Copenhagen to the venue will be taken care of around noon on the 28th. Likewise, transport back to Copenhagen on the 31st will be provided. Accommodation (rooms, food, drinks) will be provided. Please bring your own computer and USB stick.

It is up to you to book travels, but expenses can be reimbursed for up to €130. Please be aware that you are required to save all receipts for travel expenses.

Four business cases will be provided. Team formations must be made of 3-5 students. On the final day, a half-page description of your team’s solution must be provided, along with a PowerPoint slide of your pitch. A jury will be evaluating who has presented the most compelling solution to one of the given cases. The winning team will receive diplomas and an award. The half-page descriptor and pitch slides must be provided at 13.00 on the 31st of August by the latest.
