Department of Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology
Graduate of Animal Science Faculty of Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW)
Scientific-didactic worker of Animal Nutrition and Feed Science since 1980, as independent zootechnician and assistant, successively; since 1995,afer obtaining a degree of doctor of agricultural sciences-on a post of assistant professor. In 2005 she was nominated for the post of senior lecturer.
The major research subjects:
1. Nutrition of farm animals, including the studies on the effect of bioelements (i.a. chromium and iodine) on production results in animal management and on the quality of animal-origin products.
2. The studies on contamination of feeds and animal-origin products by toxic elements (mainly mercury)
The implemented research projects
1. Development of the principles of utilization of maize and wheat DDGS (distillers dried grains with soluble, a waste product of bioethanol production) in nutrition of animals and their effect on suitability and quality of the manufactured products (participant performer of the project)
2.Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA n-3), added to the diets for broiler chicken as a factor, stimulating sequestration of iodine (I) in the tissues (leader of the project)
