PhD STUDIES


Ph.D. (DOCTORAL) STUDIES
 

1. Contact the chosen Faculty in order to receive information and approval to undertake doctoral studies within the individual study programme.
 

2. The following documents are required:

  • application letter for enrollment at the University,
  • application form POBIERZ,
  • copy of graduating diploma from second-cycle studies or uniform master studies in Poland or legalized or provided with apostille or other document of graduation abroad, which within 3 months from the date of starting the studies will be considered as equivalent to Polish second-cycle studies or uniform master studies graduating diploma according to regulations on the nostrification of higher education diplomas obtained abroad or according to international agreement. A transcript of records shall be attached to the diploma. Documents issued in English shall be translated by a sworn translator, entered into the panel of sworn translations of Polish Ministry of Justice
  • 2 recommendation letters indicating predispositions for carrying out research and scientific work,
  • copy of passport,
  • 2 up-to-date photographs,
  • CV in English or Polish,
  • documents certifying knowledge of foreign language, in which the study programme is conducted (e.g. certificates, diplomas or other documents stating completing high school abroad, where classes were taught in the language in which the studies in Poland will be offered)

Documents shall be sent until 30th June to: Dean’s Office of the selected Faculty with the remark „Rekrutacja” (Enrollment);

3. Your application will be verified.
 

4. Rector for Sciences, having consulted the Dean of the Faculty shall take a decision on your acceptance for the studies.
 

5. You will receive a certification of acceptance at the University.
 

6. Upon arrival you should provide the following documents:

  • original version of graduating diploma from second-cycle studies or uniform master studies in Poland or legalized or provided with apostille or other document of graduation abroad, which within 3 months from the date of starting the studies will be considered as equivalent to Polish second-cycle studies or uniform master studies graduating diploma according to regulations on the nostrification of higher education diplomas obtained abroad or according to international agreement. A transcript of records shall be attached to the diploma. Documents issued in English shall be translated by a sworn translator, entered into the panel of sworn translations of Polish Ministry of Justice,
  • copy of a valid visa or permanent residence card, if the candidate is obliged to have it (the original should be presented).

7. Tuition fee will be paid by you.


8. After arriving to WULS-SGGW you will need to go through to a medical check-up and health and safety (BHP) training.


9. Your diploma will be in the process of recognition for further education.

The candidate is obliged to get health insurance for the period of studies.
