A celebration of granting honoris causa doctorates will take place on May 23 at 11 a.m. in the Crystal Hall at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Two outstanding scientists will be distinguished with the honorary degrees: Professor Michele Jamiolkowski and Professor Wojciech Wolski. Professor Michele Jamiołkowski is an outstanding scholar in the field of soil mechanics and geotechnics and Professor Wojciech Wolski is a distinguished scholar in the field of geotechnicsl and hydrotechnics.
A delegation from WULS-SGGW paid a visit to Azerbaijan and Georgia on 23-26 April. The delegation included the Rector of WULS-SGGW, Professor dr hab. Alojzy Szymański, the Deputy Rector and Vice-Rector for Development, Professor dr hab. Wiesław Bielawski, the Director of the Office of International Cooperation Dr. Mieczyslaw Rygalski and the secretary of the Rector, Anna Żuchowska, M.Sc. The delegation visited two universities: the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University ASAU in Ganji (Azerbaijan) and Tbilisi Teaching University TTU (Georgia).
A Veterinary Research Centre was created at Warsaw University of Life Sciences. It is a complex of laboratories equipped with the most modern apparatus. In the Veterinary Research Center at WULS-SGGW, primary research aimed at solving current problems relevant to the field of biomedical and veterinary research will be conducted, as well as implementation studies will take place. The opening of the Veterinary Research Centre was inaugurated by Professor dr hab. Alojzy Szymański, the Rector of WULS-SGGW, dr Marek Sawicki, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Professor dr hab. Zdzisław Gajewski, the Director of the Department of Large Animals Diseases with the Clinic, the Director of the Project: Instrumentation, Veterinary Research Centre.
In 2016 it will be 200 years since the Agronomic Institute in Marymont, the progenitor of Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW started agricultural education in Poland. WULS-SGGW inaugurated the 200th anniversary celebrations with a solemn Ball, which took place on 1 March 2014 at the Crystal Hall of Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

On July 18th, 2014, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS-SGGW) hosted a delegation from the Republic of Guinea, led by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr Mohamed Diare.
The Warsaw University of Life Sciences was awarded with the Certificate of UBERRIMA FIDE (Latin for "with great care"). The Augustin-Jean Fresnel Foundation and Plagiat.pl granted awards to universities and faculties that have implemented anti-plagiarism procedures and in an exemplary way prevent illegal copying of dissertations. Thirteen universities were awarded with the Certificate.
On June 2 the stages of Warsaw Kamienica Theatre held 2014 ENACTUS finals. The event was attended by over 250 students and 80 judges - presidents and directors - experienced managers ready to hear about students’ achievements, share their knowledge and evaluate students’ work.
