At Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Biomedical Research Center was opened. The University has received a grant of 30 million PLN within the Regional Operational Programme for Mazowieckie Voivodeship 2014-2020. Innovative research crossing borders between veterinary and medicine will be conducted here.
Warsaw University of Life Sciences was qualified to the top one hundred international universities in the field of agriculture and forestry. QS World University Rankings of the TopUniversities.com service is the fifth edition of the ranking, which in addition to analyzing about 17.3 million of research works, gathered the views of more than 85,000 scientists and 41 thousand employers. The specification takes into account as many as 36 different scientific disciplines and as emphasized by its creators, is the largest list of this kind in the world.
A delegation from WULS-SGGW paid a visit to Azerbaijan and Georgia on 23-26 April. The delegation included the Rector of WULS-SGGW, Professor dr hab. Alojzy Szymański, the Deputy Rector and Vice-Rector for Development, Professor dr hab. Wiesław Bielawski, the Director of the Office of International Cooperation Dr. Mieczyslaw Rygalski and the secretary of the Rector, Anna Żuchowska, M.Sc. The delegation visited two universities: the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University ASAU in Ganji (Azerbaijan) and Tbilisi Teaching University TTU (Georgia).
On June 4th, 2013, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS-SGGW) hosted the delegation from the Netherlands.
